I created WIN! Notes to help you in your job search. Over the
last several months I’ve spoken with and coached many clients. I
learned that some have difficulty getting interviews. Others are
successful in reaching the interview stage but cannot close the
employer and hear “You’re Hired.” In this first issue of WIN! Notes I will focus on the interview.
When I conduct a search I use my Right Fit Method. I present ONE Right Fit Candidate. Note this.
If the employer, at the end of the interview, tells you that they will
be interviewing other candidates you have failed to show you’re the ONE. Note that it’s all up to you to do that. Note this.
Employers like to interview lots of candidates. They make the erroneous
assumption that if they compare and contrast, the best will emerge. Note that if you have a barrel of rotten apples and you select ONE, you have picked a rotten apple, not the Right Fit. Note this.
The employer searches for the best because they have not figured out
the specs of the Right Fit Candidate. They need to create a blueprint
and match the candidate to the blueprint. What are you going to do
during the interview to show that you are the ONE Right Fit? In the September issue of WIN! Notes, I will answer this question. In the meantime, to learn more about my Right Fit Method read excerpts from my book WIN Without Competing!, listen to my WIN Without Competing! show on BlogTalkRadio, and visit my coaching page.
