WIN Without Competing! Newsletter

Dear Reader,
How often do you feel like kicking yourself when you do not take charge of a situation? Stop the regrets! Watch what I do.
Hold on for the ride!
|
I spend very little time waiting for others to respond. If you have lots of things to juggle—which most of us do—you need to obtain information quickly and proceed. Waiting unnecessarily is a waste of time. Rather than waiting, I Manage the Process. I take charge of the situation. To succeed in this endeavor, I make no assumptions and package myself to pitch.
Many years ago, I was on a business trip and missed a connecting flight due to bad weather conditions. Undaunted, I stood before an airline representative and requested another plane. I was determined not to miss my meeting and certainly did not want to spend the night at the airport. The other passengers who had also missed the flight were sitting and waiting. None of them “stepped up to the plate.”
I succeeded. The result: The Airline Produced a Plane. Even the airline managed the process well. They not only produced a small plane quickly, but also notified the arrival airport that they needed to stay open until we landed. It’s amazing what you can do when you assert yourself and Manage the Process.
Stop waiting and start doing. Take charge of situations in your professional and personal life. If you do, you will feel liberated and win.
Read “The Imprisoned Candidate” and learn how to Manage the Process.
YOU
Manage the Process. Remember to make this “Trigger Tip” your mantra:
